My little girls is 6 months old today.  It hardly seems possible that it has been 6 months ago that she joined our family.

Maria made my day yesterday and started saying "Mamamamamama".  Emma said "Dadadadadada" first so it was exciting for me.  We take Maria to the doctor tomorrow so she will update everyone on her growth tomorrow.  Wink

Remember to Thank a Veteran today.

Well we had a crazy weekend once again.  Saturday was a trip to the Circus.  Emma, Autumn and Maria all enjoyed the circus as well as the adults.  Sunday was Maria's Baptism.  She did very good.  She was completely asleep when the Deacon came to get her.  She woke up to being dunked under water and only cried a little bit.  She was a real trooper.  When he carried her around at the end of the Baptism, you would have thought she was the queen of the show.  She was definitely soaking it all up.

Emma, Maria and I went swimming today at the Rec Center Toddler Time.  I brought Maria's float ring along.  The little pumpkin started walking around in the water in it since I had her where her little feet could touch.  She has really busy feet so I should have expected it since I got several months of feet in the ribs and kidney.

Emma’s ENT visit went well.  I was concerned about the tubes being in her ears still.  I didn’t even have to let him know I was concerned.  He said the tubes are working their way out and are only in the ear canal.  So this winter will be a real test to see if she ends up with ear infections again.  He said that he could pull the tubes out, but that would only upset her and they weren’t causing any problems where they are.

I did feel bad when we pulled in the Doctor’s parking lot to go in Emma started crying “I don’t want any holes.”  She has been saying that since she went for her 3 year checkup and got her flu shot.  She got that from her wimp Daddy.  His arms were covered from the shoulder to the wrist in poison ivy and he opted only for the oral Prednisone and not the shot too.

Friday, I went and picked up my niece Autumn.  Emma was so happy to see her and didn't want to miss out on any time with her, so both girls stayed at Memaw/Papa S's house.

Sunday we took all three girls and went Pumpkin Picking at Relleke Farms.  They had so much fun.  Maria loved that it was windy and she hung out in Mommy's coat to keep extra warm.  They had a pumpkin launcher.  The girls didn't know what to think about that, but we thought it was pretty cool.  There was a hay ride that we couldn't seem to avoid and Emma thought it was going to run over us.  We haven't carved the pumpkins yet, but we will be soon I'm sure.

Emma did much better today when I dropped her off at school.  Thank goodness.  It is so hard to turn around and leave when she is screaming and tears are streaming down her face.  Wednesday I will be dropping Maria off to stay with Papa S and helping with Emma's "Fall Festival".  I am really looking forward to it.

After I picked up Emma from school, we ran by to pick up a few things to make her beautiful for Halloween.  I got some pinkish/purplish eye shadow and some lip gloss.  So we came home a got her all dolled up to show Daddy what his little Sleeping Beauty would look like on Friday.  I put a little bit of makeup on her and I put tight curls all over in her hair.  She was so cute.  She looked way to grown up.  Daddy loved it and she was so excited to show him.  He got some good pictures.

Sad this morning.  I dropped Emma off at school and had to leave with her crying and screaming.  One of the other mom's tried to make me feel better and said that last Wednesday it only lasted a couple of minutes.  Hopefully that is all it lasts, because I feel really bad for the teachers.
